I am publishing this blog as a warning to all potential clients of Mary Marzo. She calls herself a transformational psychotherapist who does Goddess Healing, but she is really just a scam artist.
She is somewhat good at what she does, but only enough to make you believe in her abilities while she brainwashes you into thinking that you need her. She makes you completely dependent on her and refuses to release you. This way she ensures that you will be giving her all of your money.
I went to her with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and was still seeing her regularly 8 years later when I finally got wise to her scam. (as soon as I presented her with my understanding she freaked out like only a guilty person would). I had tried many times to end it with her, she would always convice me that I still needed her, and that no-one else would be any good at all. She kept me in such poverty by giving her all of my money that I was desperate. Then she used that desperation to convince me that I still needed her. For a while she even guilted me into giving her tips on top of her exorbitant fees.
I know a woman who, the last time I spoke to her, had been a client of Mary's for 16 years. No-one needs to go to a psychotherapist for 16 or even 8 years, this in itself is proof of what a scam artist Mary Marzo is.
If you are considering using Mary Marzo's psychotherapy services I suggest you look elsewhere. She also does relaxation and meditation CD's. they are good, but she is best to be avoided at all cost, so do not buy them either. The karma of supporting someone like her is just bad. I hope in writing this blog, I will be able to protect even one person from being scammed by this woman.
I really hope that someone will be able to stop this horrible excuse of a woman from hurting more people
I think the worst part was how she took advantage of me when I was down and at my very weakest. That is why the only world to describe her is "swindler".
ReplyDeletewhat is more, as soon as I suggested this to her she freaked out and never even allowed me to fully explain myself, nor did she ever try to talk her way out of it or explain it away. She just immediately cut me off.
even though cutting me off is what I truly wanted, it is jsut shady how absolute it was when yu considder that I had tried for several years at this point to get her to end it and she would not.
I needed to be weaned off of her gradually as she had me emotionally dependent upon her, so the sudden release was also a terrible thing. If she had really had as much honour as she always went on about, she would have released me when I asked her to, in a gentle way.
Mary Marzo is scum.

ReplyDeleteMore specifically, as I said I went to her with PTSD, from an issue where I was hit from behind by a police car while riding my bike, and then was wrongfully arrested while the police officer tried to cover up for his wrongdoing.
ReplyDeleteThroughout the entire 8 years I went to her, she never even let me discuss that issue which had messed me up so much and caused me such psychological harm.
I was disallowed to even speak of it.
Yet she continued to keep me emotionally dependant on her, taking my money, for 8 years. over $20 000.00 in the end. I was too emotionally messed up from the experience to even realize what she was doing. It took a good friend to point it out to me, and he spent 2 years telling me before I was able to accept it.
What I also never said before, is that Mary Marzo lives in Toronto.
